QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professor (CONUASS 07)

Candidates should be holders of Ph.D. degree from recognized Universities with at least ten (10) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must possess demonstrable competence to provide academic leadership. Candidates must also be specialists in core areas of departmental fields of study with evidence of scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned impact journals out of which 35% must have impact factor, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.

 

  • Associate Professor (CONUASS 06)

Qualifications are as stated for Professors but with at least (8) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must have evidence of scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals out of which 30% must have impact factor, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.

 

  • Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 05)

Qualifications are same as (b) above but with at least six (6) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must have evidence of at least twelve (12) scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals out of which 25% must have impact factor, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.

 

  • Lecturer I (CONUASS 04)

Candidates should be holders of PhD from recognized Universities with at least three (3) years post–doctoral teaching, research and administrative experience in tertiary institutions, with evidence of at least four (4) journals articles in reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable. Candidates with MA/MSc with at least six (6) years post qualification teaching and administrative experience in tertiary institution, six (6) journal articles, evidence of PhD registration or Master’s CGPA of not less than 4.0/5.0 (or 60% weighted average) may also apply.

 

  • Lecturer II (CONUASS 03)

Candidates should possess the same qualifications as (4) above or MA/MSc with three (3) years teaching, research and administrative experience in tertiary institution, PhD registration or Master’s CGPA of not less than 4.0/5.0 (or 60% weighted average) and at least one journal publication, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.

 

  • Assistant Lecturer (CONUASS 02)

Candidates should be holders of MA/MSc Degree in relevant fields with clear evidence of registration for a PhD programme or Masters CGPA of not less than 60%. Registration with relevant professional bodies, where applicable, will be an added advantage.

 

  • Graduate Assistant (CONUASS 01)

Candidate must be holders of first degree with a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) in relevant fields.

Candidates must possess a good University Degree preferably in the Humanities, Law, Social Sciences or Management Sciences plus twelve (12) years cognate experience, six (6) of which must have been spent in a University system.

Qualifications are same as (a) above but with nine (9) years cognate experience, (3) of which must have been spent in tertiary institution.

 

  • Assistant Registrars (CONTISS 09)

Candidates should possess a good Honours Degree preferably in Law, humanities and Social Sciences from recognized Universities, plus six (6) years cognate experience in a tertiary institution.

 

  • Assistant Registrars (Guidance and Counselling) (CONTISS 09)

Candidates should possess a good Honours Degree in Guidance and Counselling from a recognized University, plus six (6) years cognate experience in tertiary institution.

 

  • Administrative Officers (CONTISS 09)

Qualifications as in (d) above, but with three (3) years cognate experience, in addition, the candidate should not only have a credit in English Language, but be proficient in oral and written English Language.

 

  • Administrative Assistants (CONTISS 07)

Qualifications are the same as for Administrative Officer.

 

  • Confidential Secretary I (CONTISS 07)

The Candidate must possess Higher National Diploma (HND) in Secretarial Studies passed at minimum of Lower Credit level, with six (6) years’ experience plus demonstrable ability for 60 words speed per minute in typing plus computer literacy. Also the candidate must have WASC/SSCE/GCE with at least 5 credits including English Language, in addition, the candidate should not only have a credit in English Language, but be proficient in oral and written English Language.

 

  • Confidential Secretary II (CONTISS 06)

The Candidate must possess National Diploma (ND) in Secretarial Studies passed at minimum of Lower Credit level, with a demonstrable ability for 50 words speed per minute in typing, with three (3) years cognate experience, plus computer literacy. Also the candidate must have WASC/SSCE/GCE with at least 5 credits including English Language, in addition, the candidate should not only have a credit in English Language, but be proficient in oral and written English Language.

Candidate should possess a good Honours degree in architecture with 12 years working experience plus membership of Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON); or Master’s degree in architecture with nine (9) years working experience, out of which 3 years must have been spent in a tertiary institution.

Candidate must possess a good Honours degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) with nine (9) years post–qualification experience plus registration with relevant professional bodies.

Candidates must possess a good Honours degree in Quantity Surveying plus nine (9) years cognate experience and must be registered with Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS); or HND in Quantity Surveying plus 12 years’ cognate experience and membership of Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveying (NIQS).

Candidates must possess MBBS plus three (3) years residency/post–houseman ship experience; or MBBS plus Diploma in a medically related discipline. Evidence of registration with the NMDC is also required.

 

  • Senior Pharmacist (CONTISS 11)

Candidate must possess B. Pharm. or B.Sc. Pharmacy from a recognized University plus full time registration with the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria. Candidates must also have three years’ post–registration experience.

 

  • Senior Nursing Officer (CONTISS 09)

Candidates must have NRCN or NRM plus six (6) years post–registration or specialist qualification in intensive care nursing, coronary care nursing or public health; or Bachelor of Nursing plus three (3) years’ post–qualification experience.

Possession of higher degree certificate will be an added advantage.

 

  • Deputy Director of Sports (CONTISS 14)

As applicable under Director of Sports but with minimum of twelve (12) years’ post NYSC experience.

 

  • Sports Coach I (CONTISS 08)

Candidates should possess a good Honours degree from a recognized University in any relevant discipline and must have the requisite experience in sports administration and sports groundsmanship with a least eight (8) years post NYSC coaching experience in chosen sport(s). Evidence of Coaching at University or higher levels will be an advantage. Ability to handle multiple sports will also be an advantage. Areas of specialization include Football, Basketball, Handball, Volleyball, Racketball games and Athletics.

 

  • Sports Coach II (CONTISS 07)

As applicable under Sports Coach I but with a minimum of five (5) years post NYSC coaching experience in chosen sport(s).
